The Newest (and Youngest) Honorary Member of The Caddy Collective: Rancho Park Available Now!
Rancho Park CaddyTips® Playing Guide is now available on our website, and it comes by way of local junior golfer who is on the "Road to Scratch." Meet Benny Katz who has grown up at Rancho Park and absolutely loves golf!
Benny first fell in love with golf at Rancho Park just before his 14th birthday, and he's been chasing improvement ever since. In early 2025, he qualified for the Notah Begay Junior Golf National Championship, and today he documents his journey to becoming a scratch golfer through his popular Road to Scratch series on social media. His passion for the game, combined with hundreds of rounds at Rancho Park, made him the perfect person to help create our newest Playing Guide - Rancho Park Golf Course in West Los Angeles.
We're proud to welcome Benny as the newest—and youngest—Honorary Member of The Caddy Collective. His local knowledge, course-management insights, and enthusiasm for helping fellow golfers perfectly represent what The Caddy Collective is all about.
A Los Angeles Golf Icon
Since opening in 1949, Rancho Park has earned its reputation as the heart of municipal golf in Los Angeles. Once home to the Los Angeles Open and visited by legends like Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods, it remains one of the busiest public golf courses in the United States and a bucket-list round for golfers visiting Southern California.
While Rancho Park isn't overly long, it's a course that rewards smart decision-making over raw power. Small, well-protected greens, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and a late-day marine breeze create a layout where local knowledge can save several strokes. That's exactly what you'll find in the new Rancho Park CaddyTips® Playing Guide—the same insider advice Benny has learned through years of playing one of Southern California's most historic municipal golf courses.
