Hole 1 - Easy Opener • Straightaway, Flat
Reachable par 5 — calibrate before the cliffs
Par 5 - 524 / 505 yds.
Tee Shot
Welcome to William F. Bell's seaside masterpiece. Ideal target: RIGHT-CENTER, between the right bunker and the three-bunker complex on the LEFT. Carry numbers:
235 yds from Black reaches the right bunker (215 Silver); 245 reaches the first left bunker (225 Silver). Carry past all bunkers: 300 from Black (280 Silver). Where to miss: short of the bunker mouths, dead center. Avoid: any push
deep-right; the three-bunker left complex is sticky. Use this opener to calibrate marine air. A drive that normally travels 270 may go 255 here. Low handicap: driver right-center to the gap. Mid handicap: 3-wood right-center. High handicap: 5/7-wood or hybrid right of the left bunkers. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
