HOLE  1 - Farrview
A statue stands at the tee

Par 4-  428 / 385 / 357 yds.

HONORING HEATHER FARR — A MEANINGFUL FIRST TEE
Hole 1 honors Heather Farr, Phoenix-born LPGA standout and Grayhawk's first ambassador. Her statue stands at the tee, captured in a perfect follow-through— a reminder of how much she gave to Arizona golf. A meaningful way to start the round. CaddyTips® enjoys reminders like this statue to be grateful and to take in the moment, as this is when your body can truly relax and your mind can be calm. Good reminder to breathe deeply to start your focus.

Tee Shot
Mid-length par 4, doglegs slightly RIGHT. A drive down
the middle or LEFT-CENTER for all players sets up the best approach angle. No bunkers off the tee — just a few small trees. During the spring and summer months, the wind blows from the W/SW, creating a predominant left-to-right movement. That changes in the fall/winter months when the winds shift from E/NE and create a quartering tailwind. Aim at Heather Farr's statue, then up to the McDowell Ridge beyond -these are good targets that should help you take dead aim. Long hitters: driver center and let it rip, as the fairway is more generous than it looks, which is a Graham-Panks signature feature.
