Hole 1 - Reachable For Some • Dogleg Left
Wind helps, fairway rolls
Par 5 - 525 / 507 / 491 / 414 yds.
Tee Shot
Welcome to Tijeras Creek where each nine is very distinct. Easily reachable for long hitters — prevailing wind at your back and the fairway tends to release. FAVOR RIGHT to avoid fairway bunkers in the LEFT rough. The right side also leaves the best angle for the second shot. All players: target is right-center. Long hitters/Low handicap: driver carries past the left bunkers cleanly with the tailwind and a good strike. Mid/High handicap: fairway wood is plenty to set up a comfortable second and third shot. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
