HOLE 1 - Ease In
Between the Oregon trees

Par 4  -  381 / 364 / 338 yds.

Tee Shot
Before heading to the first tee of this John Fought design, swing by the 9th and 18th greens to scope out the greens and the pin placements. This will give you a good visualization for these upcoming approach shots.

A straightforward, relatively short par 4 to start means that driver doesn't necessarily need to be the play, especially when the fairway is lined with massive White Oaks and Douglas Firs. There is also a bunker in the right rough, so a left-center target is ideal. The prevailing wind blows from left to right, also promoting a left-center target line.

The timber-lined fairways are a theme on this course, so use this first hole as the jumping-off point for ignoring the trees and focusing on your fairway target. Club down if you have more confidence in hitting the fairway. Take dead aim and split this fairway in two, just like a log.
