HOLE 1 - PLANTATION PRELUDE
Welcoming tree-lined parkland starter

Par 4  -  388 / 361 / 332 yds.

Tee Shot
Before you embark on your round, take a spin past the 9th and 18th greens to check out the green complexes and pin positions. This will help you visualize these approach shots and set you up for success.

Don't let this tree-lined hole intimidate you, as you will pick a target so precise that even if you mis-hit it, you will be fine. Left-center of the fairway is the ideal target, as there are hidden mounds in the fairway that will have a tendency to kick balls to the right a bit. The prevailing winds should help carry your ball a bit off this tee and move it left-to-right, another reason to take a left-center target.

Low handicap: If the wind is helping and you want to set an aggressive tone early, you can pound driver, but it must have very little sidespin in either direction. The key is not to overswing, as you have plenty of club. Many low handis choose to hit a fairway wood or hybrid to get a rhythm going early. Mid-high handicap: due to the short nature of this hole, driver is not necessary, so swing the club that gives you the most confidence as you will be stacking fairway in regulation.
