Here is a snippet from the Links at Bodega Harbor CaddyTips®

Hole 1 - The Climb Begins Here
First of four straight uphill holes
Par 4  404 / 388 / 370 yds.

THE  FIRST FOUR HOLES — A SIGNIFICANT CLIMB
Holes 1-4 ascend the bluff in earnest. Don't let the opening yardages fool you — every approach plays a full club uphill. Pace yourself. A solid start through the climb
sets up the back nine, where the views and scoring chances open up.

Tee Shot
Plays uphill the entire way and into the prevailing wind, so expect your drive to carry 10-12 yards less. Remember, too, that the air is thick by the coast, and you cannot expect much roll, so most shots should be played to a carry distance. The hole bends right around a series of bunkers. All players: target the center of the fairway and let the dogleg play itself. Long hitters (aggressive line): aim OVER the right bunker — requires 265 Black (250 Blue /240 White) to clear. Shortens the hole considerably. Mid/high handicap: the cautious play is left of the bunker — leaves a longer approach but keeps you in play. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
