Tee Shot
After you are done warming up at this massive range, which hosts the PGA Show Demo Day every January, swing by the 1st and 18th greens near the clubhouse to scope out the greens and the daily pin placements. This will help you visualize your approach shots on these holes and set you up for success.

As you step onto this elevated tee box, your first instinct should be to pick a target in the left-center of the fairway—and that's exactly right. A fairway bunker guards the right side, with even more trouble lurking beyond it. CaddyTips® recommends teeing your ball on the right side of the tee box to create the best angle toward your left-center target while naturally taking the trouble on the right out of play.

Elevated tee shots can make precise alignment surprisingly challenging. To simplify your setup, CaddyTips® recommends choosing a small spot on the ground just a few inches in front of your teed-up ball, perfectly in line with your left-center target. Align both your body and clubface to this intermediate target. This simple technique makes alignment much easier and helps ensure you're aimed exactly where you intend.

This course is exposed, and the wind can play a determining factor on every shot, including this tee ball. Spring/Summer prevailing E/SE wind will result in a headwind or right-to-left crosswind. Fall/Winter winds shift to N/NE, resulting in a left-to-right crosswind. CaddyTips® recommends teeing the ball a bit lower with your driver into a headwind, which will help lower your trajectory, especially from an elevated tee box.

Low handicap: driver piped up the left center, will set a good tone for this round and alleviate the length of the hole. Mid-High handicap: given that you had time to warm up on that big range, you should be nice and loose to swing the driver. But if you have a tendency to miss your driver to the right, this elevated tee box can accentuate that miss, especially with a left-to-right wind, and the smart play is a fairway wood or hybrid.
