Tee Shot
Formerly La Quinta Mountain Course, this beautiful track will be a good test of golf. Dye lulls you to sleep with a short par 4 to start, but beware as trouble lurks. A large fairway bunker in the LEFT rough catches anything missed left. Aggressive line: aim at the palm tree right of the green, carry 245 Black (235 White / 215 Gold). Right-rough bunker waits at 255 / 240 / 230. Low handicap: 3-wood or long iron for guaranteed fairway - this is a short hole, distance off the tee gains you very little unless you are a bomb gouge type player. Mid/High handicap: 5/7-wood or hybrid down the middle to get the round started off right. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
