HOLE 1 - The Gentle Handshake
Straight and wide-open

Par 4  -  369 / 309 / 269 yds.

Tee Shot
Before you put the peg in the ground on #1, take a quick lap to check out the 9th and 18th greens to get a feel for the green complexes here and to check the pin placements. This will play to your advantage when you hit these approach shots.

Kokopelli starts you out with a relatively straightforward tee shot to a wide-open fairway. Pick a very specific target here that aligns with your center of the fairway and take dead aim. There is some mounding in the left rough that will help dampen a wayward shot in that direction. All players: the driver is not necessary here, so choose the club that you have the most confidence with to get the momentum going. This hole normally plays into the wind and if the wind is blowing hard, CaddyTips® recommends teeing your ball a bit lower if you hit driver.
