Here is a snippet from the Black Horse Golf Course CaddyTips®
Hole 1 - Well Bunkered Opener
All trouble is right, so play down the left side
Par 5 - 535 / 508 / 452 yds.
Tee Shot
This hole will play into the prevailing wind, and the air here is normally very thick, so you can expect the ball to travel 3-5 yards less. This is a relatively short but tight par 5. Target is center to LEFT-CENTER fairway. The right side is danger — the fairway slopes right and runs down a rough-covered slope. Long hitters/low handicaps: This green is reachable in two with an accurate shot over the fairway bunker on the right. Right bunker begins 265 Black (240 Blue / 215 White). All players: play down the LEFT — shots landing center will release right anyway. High handicap: 3/5-wood or hybrid keeps you out of the slope on the right and sets up the easy lay-up. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
