General Tips to play Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek

Placement off the tee is one of the keys to success at Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek. Trees can block you out if you’re on the wrong side of the fairway. Remember accuracy over distance at Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek. Thicker rough and mounding around the greens make a lofted chip shot a valuable tool here. Work on a chip shot that get the ball up in the air and then lets it roll out on the green.

Here is a snippet from the Caddytips from Pumpkin Ridge - Ghost Creek:

    Hole 15
    Slight dogleg left – par 5 – 552/531/498 yds.

Tee shot: Favor the right side of the fairway on this semi-blind tee shot. The left side of the fairway is guarded by 3 bunkers, which can be carried with a shot of 275 yds. from the back tees (250 blue/220 white). Carrying the bunkers is not necessary though, as the hole sets up a little better from the right.

Second shot: An ideal lay up will be aimed right center fairway and hit to end between 120-100 yds. from the green. This will land past the bunkers on the left while remaining short of the trap on the right. If you elect to go for the green in two favor the right as there is are two traps that begin about 60 yds. short of the green on the left.

Approach shot: This shot will play level to an undulating putting surface. The green is protected by a bunker to the left and mounding long and a tree to the right. The green is 29 paces deep with a ridge creating a back tier.

Green: Slopes from back to front and tilts from right to left back towards the bunker, with the exception of the far left side of the putting surface which runs slightly from left to right.
