Here is a snippet from the Legend Trail CaddyTips®

HOLE 1-  Left-Center Start
Generous off the tee — settle in
Par 4 - 385 / 360 / 340 yds.

Tee Shot
Before you tee off, CaddyTips® recommends that you take a quick look at the 9th and 18th greens near the clubhouse to get a feel for the undulations, conditions, and pin placements. This will help you better visualize your approach shots into these greens… you are already one step ahead of everyone, and you haven't even teed off!

Legend Trail graciously eases you into the round, so take advantage of it. This straightaway hole sets up best from the LEFT CENTER of the relatively wide fairway. The two bunkers on the RIGHT start 240 Black (215 Silver, 200 Copper) and run for 55 yds. — a long stretch of sand to stay away from. All players: a comfortable fairway wood or driver to the
left-center is plenty — nice, confident, smooth-tempo swing to start the round. Mid/high handicap: there's no trouble you can't see; pick the left-center line and make a smooth pass.

The standard prevailing wind in the North Scottsdale/Carefree region blows from the southwest. Because you are hitting straight into the southwest, you will typically face a headwind or a slightly quartering headwind off the elevated opening tee that should knock the ball down a bit. If the wind is blowing hard, CaddyTips® recommends teeing the ball a bit lower, which will launch it slightly lower and help it flight through the wind.
