Here is a snippet from the Coyote Creek Valley Course CaddyTips®
Hole 1 - Dog-leg Left Opener
False back green - beware back pin position
Par 4 - 436 / 389 / 341 yds.
Tee Shot
Coyote Creek is in the Santa Clara Valley and gets a lot of sunshine, and the air is much thinner here than on the coast, so you can expect your ball to carry a little extra distance on this course with a little roll as well. Take that into consideration on every yardage you pull. This first hole will normally play downwind from the prevailing winds, which blow down the valley. Target the CENTER to the LEFT-CENTER fairway on this straightforward opener. The landing area is protected by a LONE BUNKER on the right, 265 yds. from Blue (220 White / 175 Gold). Long hitters: a shot of 300 yds. Blue (255 White / 210 Gold) carries past the bunker and leaves a short iron in. All players: left-center is the line. Mid/high handicap: 3-wood up the middle is plenty. CaddyTips® always recommends that the last couple of swings you take on the driving range should be practicing this tee shot and visualizing your success.
